arcane

Independent Software Engineering Laboratory

Arcane is an independent laboratory dedicated to the study and construction of software systems.

Much of the technology industry focuses on frameworks and tools. At Arcane we explore something deeper: the fundamentals that support these technologies.

We investigate how systems really work — from networks and databases to software architecture and complex system integration.

how does this really work?

Arcane exists to document this learning and building process.

Principles

Engineering Before Tools

Frameworks change. Fundamentals remain. Focus on architecture, systems, and engineering principles that survive changes.

Build to Understand

The best way to learn technology is by building real systems. Experiments transform theory into practice.

Technical Curiosity

Asking 'why?' is more important than just knowing 'how to use'. We explore the inner layers of technologies.

Open Knowledge

Learning gains value when shared. We document experiments, discoveries, and mistakes.

About the Author

Arcane is led by Luiz Henrique Couto, developer and entrepreneur in the technology sector.

The technical journey began through training in Computer Maintenance and Support Technician, through the Trilhas de Futuro program of the Government of Minas Gerais. During this period, foundations were developed in:

  • hardware and system diagnostics
  • networks and basic infrastructure
  • technical support and computer maintenance

Subsequently worked for three years with mobile device maintenance and diagnostics, deepening practical experience in technical problem resolution.

Later started the entrepreneurial journey in the technology sector, founding Nyveon, a company focused on implementing artificial intelligence solutions for business operations optimization.

Arcane emerges as an independent laboratory for study and construction of systems, where research, experiments, and projects related to are documented:

  • software architecture
  • systems engineering
  • technology integration
  • applied artificial intelligence
  • computer science fundamentals

The goal is to investigate technologies deeply, connecting technical theory with practical implementation.

Projects

We develop experimental systems to explore software engineering concepts — APIs, backend architecture, integrations, and complete applications.
